YOUBEFOREME.

YOU BEFORE ME.-26.jpg

The question that became a journey.

A journey that created the voyage.

The voyage that answers the question.

Start here.

  • "Is this about being selfless or putting others first?"
Yes but No. The most common first impression of You Before Me is that it’s about conventional interpretation of selflessness.: putting others first, being virtuous, sacrificing your needs. But it deepens and expands this. You Before Me isn’t performance—it’s presence. Not “being the better person.” Not self-sacrifice for applause. It’s about facing the parts of you that use virtue as identity, helping as avoidance, and awareness as decoration. Real selflessness begins when you stop performing it— and start witnessing what’s still running the show inside you. From there, helping others isn’t a role. It’s a byproduct of individual honesty. This is the paradox: The most selfless thing anyone can do is face their own mirror. No audience. No applause. No reward. Just you, you're patterns, your shadow, and the slow, uncomfortable work of digestion within your story. That’s what You Before Me. means.
  • “Is this just a modern spiritual trend? Another bubblegum concept like ‘presence’ or ‘alignment’?”
All things can become bubblegum if we choose—chewed for flavor, posted for aesthetics, forgotten in a few hours. And ironically, You Before Me encourages that. It invites you to chew on it. Quote it. Test it. Misunderstand it. That’s part of the Mirror Voyage. But what sets it apart is this: It begins to digest you. In a modern world saturated with trending self-help, therapeutic language, spiritual buzzwords, and philosophical frameworks, You Before Me becomes the space that collects all of it This isn’t another tool to add to the shelf. It’s the system underneath it all—the mirror that reflects how you relate to every tool, belief, or insight you’ve already collected.
  • “Who started this? Is this a group, a brand, a movement?”
Not exactly. These words have been here long before any founder. A person didn’t invent this. He saw a pattern. A reflection. And that pattern lived inside three words: You Before Me. At first, it was just a phrase. But the more he observed it—through relationships, resistance, heartbreak, healing—the more they realized that everything fit inside it. Every reaction. Every projection. Every loop. Every path. Every teaching. And then it became clear: These words weren’t about the world. They were a reflection of the person reading them. That’s why they work. Not because they’re clever. But because they’re a mirror. You Before Me isn’t a group. It’s not a belief to join or a flag to wave. It’s a space—a tool—for organizing the chaos of being human.
  • “So what is this, really?”
There’s no perfect way to answer that. But here’s the closest we’ve come. You Before Me is a mirror. A way to organize the paradox of being human. It’s not a belief system. Not a method. Not a fix. It’s a simplified space—a place to take everything you’ve picked up from the outside world—the spiritual, the scientific, the therapeutic, the philosophical—and plug it into your own system and story.Because once you can see how you’re using it—not just what it means, but how it’s shaping you—you’re no longer controlled by it. You Before Me helps you see what part of you is speaking. And when you know who’s talking, and what loop they might be repeating… You stop reacting blindly. You stop living on autopilot. You start moving like someone who’s actually present inside their story.
  • “What if I don’t know where to start?”
You just did. You’re here. You’re reading this. That’s the start. There’s no prep work. No final version of you required. You Before Me is built to meet you exactly where you are. Start with what feels true. Start with the resistance. Start with the part of you that wants to scroll away. That’s the doorway.
  • “Is this just another way to make people feel broken so they buy your stuff?”
No. In fact, it’s the opposite. You Before Me doesn’t assume you’re broken. It assumes you’re looping. Because life is the process of loops. And those loops do a really good job of looking like progress, purpose, or protection. This isn’t about selling salvation. There’s nothing to fix. Only something to see. And if you buy anything from this—it should be the idea that you’re already carrying everything you need. The rest is just digestion. The t-shirts and books are a fun way to create connection, expression and feel excited about something that is often taken too serious.
  • “Aren’t mirrors just ways to justify staying stuck in your own world?”
They can be. Especially when you're only looking for what you already believe. Not all mirrors reflect. Some just repeat. And yeah—if you’re only looking into a mirror to confirm your narrative, you’re not evolving. You’re looping. You Before Me is a different kind of mirror. It doesn’t flatter you. It doesn’t shame you. It reveals what’s unseen—especially the parts you’ve built your identity around. And if you’re willing to sit with what shows up, you don’t stay stuck. You get unstuck honestly—without skipping steps or building a new persona around “growth.”
  • 🧪 “Is this science-backed or just a bunch of metaphors?”
It’s built on what science, story, and the soul have all been saying in different languages. The 33.3% framework mirrors models found in psychology (ego, shadow), neuroscience (patterns, triggers, plasticity), systems theory, trauma research, spiritual traditions, and philosophy. But this isn’t a dissertation. It’s not here to prove itself. It’s here to be useful. Metaphors are tools. So is science. So is lived experience. You Before Me pulls from all three—not to be vague, but to be whole. Because a thing can be true in your nervous system, your worldview, and your bones… even if it doesn’t come with a footnote. This isn’t anti-science. It’s just not afraid to speak the many languages of the universe.
  • “Isn’t this just another trap of overthinking?”
It could be. If you're using it to stay safe instead of get free. You Before Me isn’t here to add more thinking. It’s here to show you why you’re thinking so much in the first place. The difference is digestion. If you notice yourself trying to "figure it all out," take a breath. You're already in the loop because life spirals. The question is which loop are you in currently and are you unknowingly stuck there. If so that's good. That’s not a problem. It’s a pattern asking to be seen. and from that you get the choice to move.
  • “Aren’t you just making people question themselves endlessly?”
That’s a valid critique—and a common trap. That’s why this approach is different. Introspection can become a loop. which is a great loop to learn from. Yet you can spend years in your head, journaling your shadows, analyzing every emotion, trying to win a game of chess with yourself. But You Before Me is a unique strategy. It’s story. It’s not here to keep you second-guessing yourself into stillness. It’s here to reconnect you to life in motion—through reflection, not manipulation. This isn’t about overthinking. It’s about observing your actions, feelings, and decisions as they unfold—so you can meet yourself in real time, not a mental maze. You Before Me is a living process. Creative. Organic. Messy on purpose. Because this isn’t a test. It’s a mirror. And the goal isn’t to find the “right” move—It’s to remember the you that moves freely.
  • “What if I don’t want to change? Does that mean I’m stuck?”
Not at all—knowing your loop is all that matters. This isn’t a demand to change for its own sake. If you choose to stay where you are, that’s entirely your choice. At least now, you get that chance to know why you’re comfortable in your loop.
  • “Who’s actually behind this? What’s their agenda?”
The only agenda here is the invitation for you to see yourself more clearly. You Before Me isn’t orchestrated by any hidden hand—it’s the collective echo of all our loops. The intention is simple: bring you face-to-face with your story, not to direct your life, but to offer a space for you to help you own it.
  • “Is this anti-religion or trying to replace belief?”
No. It’s not here to replace belief. It’s here to reveal how you use it. Whether you believe in God, the nervous system, astrology, Scripture, quantum physics, or nothing at all—You Before Me can still work. Because it doesn’t ask what you believe. It asks what you protect. What you defend. What you project onto others in the name of that belief. It’s not a threat to your faith. It’s a mirror for your usage of it.
  • “Is this spiritual, psychological, religious, scientific, mystical… what is it?”
Yes—and none of them. It can sound spiritual. It can feel psychological. It might remind you of something mystical, religious, scientific, therapeutic, or philosophical. And it is. And it isn’t. You Before Me is a mirror made of many mirrors. A minute dose of everything, simplified into three words. Each word carries ingredients—small, potent, familiar—meant to wake up what’s already inside you. It’s not asking you to choose a path. It’s inviting you to connect with all of them. And more importantly, with the one who’s been walking them.
  • “Aren’t you just rewording ideas like ego, trauma, and awareness?”
Absolutely. But not to be original—to make them digestible. The ego isn’t new. Neither is the shadow. Or the soul. Or the loop. Or the mirror. But just because the concepts have been named… doesn’t mean they’ve been felt. And this is much deeper than concept bubblegum to chew on. You Before Me isn’t trying to rename the world. It shows you how you relate to it. Because all the awareness in the world won’t matter if it’s still living avoiding the mirror first.
  • “Why should I trust this idea over what I already believe?”
You shouldn’t. You should test it. You Before Me isn’t a belief. It’s a reflection tool. A friction check. Something to hold your beliefs up against—not to replace them, but to reveal their shape. It doesn’t say “believe this.” It says, “Look again.” You don’t need to convert. You just need to be honest about what’s still keeping you stuck.
  • “So is this just another self-help philosophy?”
No. This isn’t something to follow—it’s something to see. You Before Me. isn’t here to fix you, save you, or make you feel good. It’s here to reflect. This isn’t a list of steps. It’s a mirror you hold up when you’re ready to look. The work isn’t about becoming a better version of yourself—it’s about finally seeing the version that’s been playing the role. This isn’t self-help. It’s self-witnessing.
  • “Is this just repackaged spiritual fluff?”
Yes—it absolutely can be. If that’s what you choose it to be. You can chew on these concepts like bubblegum. Blow bubbles. Post quotes. Vibe with the language. Feel deep without going deep. And You Before Me encourages that. Because that’s an important part of the Mirror Voyage. That’s a loop worth falling into. This kind of surface-level engagement—where the message feels good, but doesn’t land yet—is a brilliant place to start. Why? Because now you get to practice seeing your own strategy. The loop isn’t bad. It’s familiar. It’s what you do with awareness when full digestion still feels too vulnerable, too soon, too much. The irony? If someone were to perfectly mesh with You Before Me from the beginning, if it never rubbed, challenged, or stirred something… it probably wouldn’t be useful. Friction is the point. Resistance is feedback. Surface is the invitation. This isn’t about calling you out. It’s about calling you in—to notice your loop, not fight it. Because if you’re chewing gum… you’re already engaging. And that means the mirror’s working.
  • “Isn’t this just another self-help philosophy in disguise?”
It would be easier if it was. You Before Me doesn’t want to fix you. It wants to reflect you. That’s a big difference. There’s no 5-step process. No promise of transformation. No virtue signaling. It’s not here to make you better. It’s here to help you see what you’ve been calling “you” in the first place. And sometimes, that’s the most disruptive thing of all.
  • "You talk about ego—but doesn’t calling this work ‘deep’ feed your own?”
Absolutely. And that’s the point. This work gives me a front-row seat to how my ego tries to grab hold of things— language, insight, identity—and wear them like badges. It’s a mirror, yes. But more than that, it’s a way to watch the ego’s natural instinct to attach, to perform, to feel special for “getting it.” And instead of fighting that… You Before Me invites me to live with it, to see it clearly, and to understand why it does that. It doesn’t pretend the ego disappears. It reveals how it behaves when no one’s watching— and how often we’re performing even when we think we’re being “real.” This work is built with feedback loops on purpose. It questions its own authority. It invites you to hold the message, the transformation, and the teacher as mirrors—not as absolutes. And if I ever use this work to elevate myself, it’s not the work that failed. It’s that I missed something. But even that is part of the design. You Before Me is meant to create those traps— so I can finally see them. Because every loop you notice is a doorway. And that includes the loop of thinking you've outgrown your own ego.
  • “Is ego always bad?”
No. Ego is your script—it’s just not the whole story. Ego is what gets you out of bed. It helps you set boundaries. Speak up. Protect what matters. It’s not bad. It’s just limited. The ego’s job is survival, not truth. It wants to be seen, right, loved, safe. That’s not evil. That’s human. The trouble starts when we forget it’s just one layer. And we build our entire life on its fears, projections, and patterns. You Before Me doesn’t shame the ego. It just invites you to know who’s talking before you let it speak for your whole self.
  • 🎭 “What does it mean to work with the ego, not against it?”
It means you stop treating it like a villain—and start treating it like a misunderstood protector. Fighting the ego only strengthens it. It loves a battle. It loves a role. So You Before Me doesn’t ask you to destroy it. It asks you to witness it. To hear how it speaks. To notice what it’s afraid of. To watch how it attaches to identity, even the “healed” one. This isn’t ego death. It’s ego digestion. You don’t need to exile it. You need to learn why it’s showing up—and what loop it’s trying to protect.

Mission/Vision

You Before Me aims to redefine the landscape of introspection, making the realm of self-discovery, deep thought, and inner observation as accessible and engaging as any other aspect of life. Too often, the pursuit of self-awareness is confined to philosophers, psychologists, spiritual seekers, or those in deep pain, creating a divide between inner exploration and the material world. But this journey doesn’t have to be heavy, exhausting, or exclusive. You Before Me is the bridge—a seamless connection between intellectual depth and everyday practicality, between abstract reflection and tangible action. It strips away the complexity and mysticism often attached to self-awareness and offers an organized, simple framework that anyone can turn to when the desire to learn more arises. Whether in a moment of crisis or curiosity, this process is meant to be intuitive, fun, and naturally woven into the fabric of daily life. When you begin trying to understand these three words—their simplicity, their unique blend of philosophy, religion, psychology, mysticism, and science—you start to notice something profound. As you examine the framework, the mechanism, the mixture of ingredients, you realize you are not studying a concept—you are studying a reflection of your story within it. And in the end, You Before Me is nothing more than your own understanding of your story—not the antidote for truth, but the aid that helps you digest it. We live in a world drowning in consumption—of knowledge, healing, identity, and meaning. But we forgot the most essential thing: digestion. We don’t need more awareness. We need a way to process it. To live it. You Before Me is the missing digestive system in the modern age of instant everything. It’s the reflection we’ve never had. And the tool that makes every path—spiritual or material—actually work. You Before Me is not a philosophy to adopt, a movement to join, or an identity to wear—it is simply a mirror. A tool. A mechanism that reflects back the deepest truths already within you. It does not tell you who to be, what to believe, or where to stand; it only reveals. In a world where ideas often become identities, where beliefs turn into labels, and where understanding is mistaken for superiority, You Before Me offers a different path. A path that does not demand you become the philosopher, the activist, the seeker, the intellect, the aware, the enlightened—but simply you. Through The Mirror Voyage children’s book, the blog, the podcast, and the t-shirt brand, the goal is to create a space where individuals—not groups, not ideologies, not systems—can engage with their own reflection. This is not about exclusivity, hierarchy, or authority. There are no leaders, no dogmas, no final answers—only individuals deciding to undergo their own mirror voyage and supporting one another along the way. This mechanism is not mine. It is not yours. It is no one’s and everyone’s. The mirror does not belong to a person, a founder, or a brand—it simply exists, ready for those who choose to look. This is not a new way. It is your way. Vision One day, I hope to see individuals of all ages—from children to the adults—wearing these three words with excitement, not as a statement of belonging to something outside of themselves, but as a quiet acknowledgment of the journey within. I hope that when two people cross paths wearing You Before Me, they share a knowing smile—an unspoken understanding that they are both on their own mirror voyages, supporting one another simply by existing in that space. I hope the books inspire children, and just as importantly, awaken the inner child in adults—to rekindle curiosity, to see life through fresh eyes, to recognize the light in the dark and the dark as space where light can exist. I hope that someone, somewhere, will come to realize that they themselves are the most important and beautiful part of this existence—not because they were told, but because they discovered it within. And in every ideological pursuit, in every painful experience, in every mask we wear and every identity we cling to, I hope You Before Me becomes a tool—an extension of free will—one that anyone can choose to use. A tool to dive into the mirror, to explore, to break, to rebuild, to unbecome and become, all at their own pace, on their own terms. A world where no one is forced to look into the mirror—but for those who choose to, it is always there. This is the vision. A world of voyagers.
